I’LL WAIT…..
“But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.”
Romans 8:25 NLT
I read somewhere that if your hands are empty, God intends to fill them. I’ve held on to that promise for the last year. WAIT! I have to pause right here and reflect……….
I can’t believe it’s almost been a YEAR!!!!
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
2 Peter 3:8
Time doesn’t matter to God. What I’ve learned is that He’s more concerned about the transformation more so than the time it takes to do so. Did you learn the lessons you were meant to learn? Did you grow in the areas you were meant to grow in? In the same way that you can’t skip from Summer to Fall, you can’t skip through parts of your process. Dead leaves fall in Autumn. Perhaps in your current season, there are some dead weights that need to fall out of your life. That may be: people, ideas or past traumas that will no longer serve you in this new period of your life. In the winter, bears hibernate to prepare for the spring. Specifically, female black bears hibernate to prepare to give birth.
”To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:“
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
I believe this has been a year of preparation and definitely a year where God is birthing some things as He propels me into the calling He has on my life. What I now know is that I can’t move any further past completing each step put before me. It’s one step at a time. Matter fact, it’s one act of obedience at a time.
”but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.“
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
This time last year, I left with nothing. I lost my house, my husband, friends, family and myself! But every day over this past year, I grew closer and closer to God. With every mountain I had to climb, God gave me His strength to endure and overcome. He gave me my confidence, my self-worth and my strength back. He gave me PURPOSE. He used the ugliest parts of my story to show how good He is.
The house is coming. The new car is coming. To be honest, I don’t care about the stuff. I’m going to get it all back and more but what I lost doesn’t compare to what I’ve gained.
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:2-4 NKJV
I don’t know what God is going to do next, but I do know that it is BIG and it is Good.
So……..
I’LL WAIT!!!!!!!
“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
Luke 1:45 NKJV
