IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS
If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.
Luke 16:10 NLT
I love how through everyday experiences, the Word comes alive. Now, I don’t usually take much time to myself but it’s necessary. So, I went and sat in the nail shop. I don’t usually do designs but the nail tech put glitter in one nail on each hand. It actually came out really pretty and to my surprise one nail included a butterfly in the glitter. Now, that may seem small to you, but to me that was huge. I felt like God gave me that little sign that He was there. Yes, even in the nail shop. LOL. That tiny little butterfly made my day but more importantly, it confirmed God’s love for me. He knows everything about us and He’s intentional about everything concerning us.
I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.
Revelation 3:8 NLT
Luke 16:10 popped in my head but I had to go back and read the whole chapter. I had a feeling there was more I needed to take away from that experience. I read the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The poor man died and was carried by the angels. The rich man also died but wasn’t so lucky. The rich man was reminded that he had everything when comparing himself to Lazarus who had nothing. However, Lazarus ended up with EVERYTHING and by the end of the chapter and after accepting his current state was a result of the choices he made, the rich man wanted to warn his family so they didn’t end up in same place.
It’s so much more I could say and I encourage you to go read it for yourself but here’s what I got:
What seems like a little to you, could brighten someone’s day. More importantly, sharing your testimony could save lives.
We were all created to share His good news so that others would know and follow Him as well.
It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.
Luke 13:21 NLT
Sharing is caring.
I’ve learned that I don’t need much and it doesn’t take much to make me smile. Especially when it comes to the Father. I’ll be grateful with a little and grateful with a lot. And I will share His goodness everywhere I go and one little blog at a time.
It really is the little things that matter most when you serve a big GOD.
