JUST ADD WATER
“But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
John 4:14 NLT
Let me start off by saying that I don’t really have a green thumb but I love plants. It’s something about them being around me that gives me life and surrounds the space with peace. So, I added some plants to the office. They looked great too until I came in one day to it drooping down on the sides of the vase. I knew exactly who to call. I simply sent a text that said “Ma! Look at my plant.” She replied, “Water”. That’s it. And before I left for the day, my plant perked back up.
“The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.”
Isaiah 58:11
Now, I sat for a second until the revelation hit me. All it needed was water. THAT’S IT! I could have ran out the building at that point. We make our issues bigger than what we should at times. Especially, when the answer to the problem is simply spending time in the Word or praying to the Father, the ONE who gives living water. The top two tips for keeping plants healthy is providing adequate sunlight and watering regularly. SONlight and water. WHAT!!
“Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.”
Isaiah 48:18 NLT
I don’t know what you’re going through but I do know who does. And as bad as we’d like to handle things on our own and in our own way, I’m learning to trust His plan His way. He’s strategic and everything has a purpose.
He also took a seedling from the land and planted it in fertile soil. He placed it beside a broad river, where it could grow like a willow tree.
Ezekiel 17:5
Just like my plant, keep it simple and
JUST ADD WATER and watch how strong you’ll grow.
