“But as for you, be clear-headed in every situation [stay calm and cool and steady], endure every hardship [without flinching], do the work of an evangelist, fulfill [the duties of] your ministry.”

Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. I strongly suggest you do so using God’s word. Life was never promised to be easy or void of trials, hard decisions or uncomfortable seasons. However, it was promised that God would be with us through them all AND deliver us out of them all.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Psalm 34:19
KEEP GOING!
Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4
Even when you don’t know what to do, keep going. You can ask for ANYTHING (John 14:14) that includes, wisdom (James 1:5), strength (Isaiah 40:29), peace (Isaiah 26:3). Everything you need can be found in the Word of God. And then when you ask, BELIEVE. Believe that God can and will do what He said He would. He has to, He can’t lie.
It’s starting to make a whole lot of sense to me now. Even in the moments that don’t feel so good, I can see His purpose. Valleys are designed to produce growth. In my valley, I learned to trust God. I learned that my strength comes from Him and in Him I can do all things (Philippians 4:13). It produced a confidence in Him and in myself that can’t be shaken (Romans 8:37). So, even when people don’t understand or agree with me or the decisions I make, it doesn’t detour me from doing what I’m told to do. I’ve watched mountains you wouldn’t believe be moved. I’ve witnessed doors opening that I know only God could have opened. I’m proof that there is provision in your obedience.
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

It’s normal and natural to be disappointed about the way things turned out. However, in spite of your disappointment be grateful that you are no longer where you once were. I recently read somewhere “If a broken heart brings you closer to God, thank God for a broken heart”. Immediately, I understood God’s heart. His plans for your life are so good that He will literally do anything to get your attention with the hope that you will choose Him.
Well, I chose to choose Him everyday. It’s the best decision I could have ever made. It’s not easy but He’s worth it. Now, all I hear is KEEP GOING
